Brief History

Chananhill is a social enterprise aimed at investing in innovations that provide affordable solutions to the everyday needs of the general population. We provide opportunities such as entrepreneurial capacity building, access to finance and other social services. Our forte is to contribute to global development by boosting local economies through capacity building for women, investment in women-centered cost-effective innovations, and micro financing for profitable businesses.

OUR STRATEGIES

1)Livestock strategy

The livestock sector contributes 25% to the agricultural GDP in Nigeria and based on the limited
market entry barriers, it holds an immense potential for addressing poverty at the bottom of the
pyramid.
We have so far developed 3 key livestock interventions:
1. In-kind financing – for Poultry, small ruminants and snails
2. Take and Give Project – Ruminant Production
3. Commercialization of rural animal health service delivery – establishing last mile
channels for lifesaving animal vaccines

2)Entrepreneur Growth Strategy

While accessing the right type of finance remains a challenge for small businesses, ChananHill
have chosen a path of solving the problem of one entrepreneur at a time, with the expectations
that we can develop a body of evidence on what approaches are scalable and find the interested
partners to work with us to scale these ideas.
We profile individuals and small businesses who need financial support to secure productive
assets, finance their farm operations or trade and offer both small loans and technical support
to ensure the funding goal is achieved.
